If you were planning on sleeping tonight, you might want to look away now as Bethesda Softworks have released a new trailer for The Evil Within 2. The trailer spotlights the human threats in the game like Stefano Valentini, an artist with dark proclivities and unbounded imagination. You’ll see examples of his work scattered throughout Union – from grisly photographs of his victims, to the “moment of death” tableaus he creates, capturing the last seconds of a person’s life in a tangible, looping scene.
The game continues the story of Detective Sebastian Castellanos as he delves deep into the nightmarish world of Union, a reflection on the troubled mind of his own daughter. Survival Horror is still the focus here with scarce resources and slow moving-combat adding tension throughout. Players can engage in direct confrontation with enemies using weapons like guns, or use stealth to prevent themselves from being noticed or sneak behind enemies to kill them silently
