Updates have been scarce on the forthcoming Marvel team-up Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel appear to have broken their silence with the release of four exclusive Vanity Fair covers, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the film.
The covers feature (most of) your Marvel favourites alongside characters they haven’t appeared with before. On the first cover we see Evangeline Lilly in her wasp costume, which was teased a couple of months ago, the debut of Hawkeye’s new look, Rhodey back on his feet, Cap’s new look (sans beard) and Vision just kind of lurking in the back.
Cover two puts together a hovering Falcon, Tony – with highlights, Thor missing the continuity of Ragnarok, and a new icy blonde Black Widow.
Three sees a blonde Scarlet Witch (for some reason), Banner with green paint all over his hands, and Black Panther and Ant-Man looking cool and stoic in their new suits.
And the final cover is just, like, everyone they forgot about it seems, as we find Star-Lord, alongside Pepper Potts and Doctor Strange, with Spider-Man just kind of hanging around.
Along with these covers, Vanity Fair has an article which goes behind-the-scenes of the forthcoming instalment of the Avengers franchise, which you can read here. In addition to the article are a number of other exclusive photos of the cast members, including many who didn’t make the covers, like Winter Soldier, the rest of the Guardians, and many of the Black Panther cast, and for some reason Hawkeye’s wife, Laura.
Hopefully this teaser means that a trailer is on the way. Fingers crossed!
