Heavy rumours are pointing to Activision remaking another fan favourite series, following the Crash N’Sane Trilogy, in the form of Spyro The Dragon.
According to multiple sources, the title will see a complete remaster of the original trilogy of games that being Spyro The Dragon, Spyro Gateway to Glimmer and Spyro Year of The Dragon. Details are sparse but we imagine that the game will feature a revamped control system, a complete graphical overhaul and new cutscenes. The game will be a PS4 timed exclusive meaning it will hit PS4 first and reach other consoles around a year later. The games slated for a March reveal and a Q3 launch which would put it firmly in line with the 20th Anniversary of Spyro.
With the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Spyro franchise, a remastered collection akin to last years Crash N’ Sane Trilogy makes perfect sense. Activision had a surprise success with the N’ Sane Trilogy and it surpassed all original sales targets meaning its highly likely more remasters like these are going to start appearing.
