Christmas has come early, as following the bizarre Thanksgiving poster, the teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 has dropped – in the guise of a very absurd Bob Ross video.
The actual film footage doesn’t begin until around the 1:30 mark, but after that it gets very intense. We don’t see any of Josh Brolin as Cable, however we do get a glimpse of Zazie Beetz as Domino, as well as the return of a newly-styled Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand).
The trailer also shows most of the first film’s cast, as we see Wade reuniting with Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), drawing guns with Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), and hapless sidekicks Dopinder (Karan Soni) and Weasel (T.J. Miller). This teaser gives little away about the film’s plot, however there does seem to be a mutant with pyrokinetic abilities making an appearance, and it seems that Wade might be crashing a funeral.
Also, in a strange turn of events, Fox has revealed a description for the sequel – which clearly isn’t what the trailer is showing – but is hilarious nonetheless:
“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfil his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavour – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
Deadpool 2 is slated to hit theatres on June 1st, 2018.
